With over 18 years of experience in the cannabis industry, I’m a seasoned professional serving as the Founder and Principal Consultant at Shearer Consulting, specializing in commercialization consulting for the Canadian cannabis sector.
My career began with consulting on the design, construction, and operation of MMAR medical cannabis facilities. Later, I advised on cultivation and genetics strategies under the MMPR regulations.
In 2018, I joined The Supreme Cannabis Company as Director of Product Development and Planning, where I created The Shearer Grading Scale™ and led product innovation efforts.
In 2020, I became Senior Category Manager for Dried Flower at the Ontario Cannabis Store, managing product assortments and crafting the Ontario Craft Cannabis Designation.
I then served as VP Product Development at Blaise Brand Partners, focusing on commercialization strategy. In May 2022, I returned to Shearer Consulting as Principal Consultant, continuing to support the Canadian cannabis industry.
Cannabis is the love of my life. I have worked in cannabis my entire adult life and will continue to do so until I retire.
